What's inside

12 pages for your child to work through at their own pace, written by our clinical team to help them understand and describe what autism means for them, in their own words:

  • The positive traits often linked with being autistic, like honesty, loyalty and creativity
  • An Autism Wheel to map their own experience
  • Their senses, and what feels overwhelming, like bright lights, loud noises or scratchy clothes
  • A morning and evening routine planner
  • What helps at home and at school
  • What autism means for adult life
  • A page to write or draw what autism means to them

The checklists also give you an easy way to start conversations about support, with your child and their teachers.

About Dr Lucy Russell

Dr Lucy Russell

I'm Dr Lucy Russell, a clinical psychologist and Clinical Director of Everlief Child Psychology. Autism is personal for me too: neurodivergence runs in my own family, which is why I wanted autistic children to have something written just for them.
